Happy New Year and congratulations if you remained true to your weight loss program during December.
For those who gave in to temptation, rather than lament what’s done, re-establish your goals and take up from where you left off.
While January is the month for New Year resolutions, it is also the major holiday period of the year. Holidays, of course are all about forgetting routine. Indeed it’s this casual approach to spending your day which is the very essence of relaxation.
However, a key ingredient for weight loss is discipline – so skip the calories not the fun. With a little planning you’ll never feel as though you’re missing out.
Plan 1 Catching up for coffee
- enjoy a skinny latte or a pot of tea
Plan 2 Lunch with Friends
- have your Dr Tim’s Success meal replacement at breakfast and dinner, leaving you free to enjoy a healthy lunch
- Take care to minimise your carbohydrate intake – so choose the side salad with Baby Spinach, Rocket and Cherry Tomato Salad not the pasta salad dressed with mayonnaise!
- make food choices that fit with my program such as
- Entree – a prawn cocktail with delicious fresh seafood and salad (no dressing)
- Main - Grilled fish with steamed vegetables; Chicken breast with salad OR
Lean beef with vegetables
- Always ask for any dressings on the side
Remaining true to your weight loss program AND enjoying a social life is possible with some planning.
